"Launching The Legacy" Giving Through Life Insurance
MetLife's Voluntary Permanent Life (VPL) Insurance Program is a way to provide for your family and make a charitable contribution to your church and the Baptist General Convention Foundation
VPL is an association whole life insurance program that allows all members performing normal functions, between the ages of 18 and 70 to purchase individual policies on themselves.
Members may purchase up to two policies (one charitable and one personal) with coverage amounts from $5,000 to $25,000 each.
VPL provides a Contingent Guaranteed Issue underwriting level for the individual enrollment.
With this form of underwriting a policy may be issued if the member is at work full-time or retired at the time of enrollment, has not had more than five consecutive days of absence due to a serious illness in the past 90 days, and has not received medical treatment due to a serious illness during the past 90 days. In addition there are
- NO PHYSICAL EXAM REQUIREMENTS AND
- NO HEIGHT AND WEIGHT QUESTIONS
